Description

UV Conveyor Curing Machine

The UV Conveyor Curing Machine is designed for continuous UV curing applications in industrial production environments. The machine uses high-intensity 365nm UV light sources to cure UV-sensitive adhesives, coatings, inks and other suitable materials as products pass through the curing chamber on a conveyor belt.

The cabinet-type construction provides an enclosed curing zone for controlled UV irradiation. The machine has a total external dimension of approximately 2000 × 750 × 1500 mm, with a 1000 mm curing zone and 400 mm inlet and outlet sections.

The conveyor system has a total belt width of 400 mm, while the conveyor height is approximately 700 mm from the ground and can be adjusted according to production requirements. Adjustable casters and leveling feet make the machine easier to position and stabilize on the production floor.

The UV curing system is equipped with two UV light-source sets, with each luminous area measuring 400 × 150 mm. The light source operates at a wavelength of 365nm and provides a specified light power density of above 1200 nW/cm².

The irradiation distance can be adjusted from 0–150 mm through motorized adjustment, allowing the UV exposure position to be adapted according to the product and curing requirement. UV intensity can also be adjusted between 10–100%.

For thermal management, the system uses a combination of water cooling and air cooling. Cooling fans are provided at the inlet and outlet sections, while the oven temperature is designed to remain below 60°C under the specified operating conditions.

The combination of adjustable UV intensity, adjustable irradiation distance, conveyor transport and dual cooling makes the system suitable for continuous and repeatable UV curing processes.

Working Principle

The UV Conveyor Curing Machine works by continuously transporting products through an enclosed UV irradiation chamber.

Step 1 – Product Loading

The product or workpiece is placed on the conveyor belt at the machine inlet.

Step 2 – Conveyor Movement

The conveyor moves the workpiece continuously through the curing system.

Step 3 – UV Irradiation

The product enters the 1000mm curing zone, where it is exposed to the 365nm UV light source.

Step 4 – Adjustable UV Exposure

The UV intensity can be adjusted between 10–100%, while the irradiation distance can be adjusted from 0–150mm.

Step 5 – Cooling

Water cooling and air cooling work together to control heat generated during UV curing. Cooling fans at the inlet and outlet also assist with temperature management.

Step 6 – Product Exit

After passing through the curing zone, the cured product exits through the outlet section and can continue to the next production process.

UV Light Source

The machine uses two UV light-source sets.

Each set has:

  • Luminous Area: 400 × 150 mm
  • Wavelength: 365 nm
  • Specified Light Power Density: Above 1200 nW/cm²
  • Intensity Adjustment: 10–100%
  • Irradiation Distance: 0–150 mm
  • Distance Adjustment: Motorized

The adjustable UV intensity and irradiation distance allow the curing process to be configured according to the material and product requirements.
